Tell us about your work and practice as an artist.
I graduated from Central Saint Martins with a degree in Fashion Design. For a number of years I worked in the World of Fashion; as a Trend Predictor and Fashion Design Tutor. While at Art School I realised that my passion was for painting and now focus full time on Art; expressing ideas about culture and identity, gender and entertainment. My paintings fulfil a desire to further immortalise the glamour and edginess of some of the people who have shaped the C20 and C21 through their work and creativity. They are mainly of people who identify the spirit of the times that evolve in each era. Strongly coloured; I paint Idols and legends from modern history and refer to Warhol's interest in popular Art, fame and celebrity. The style and content of my Oil paintings are a reaction to the many Art movements of the past.
